Earlier this week, I made a confession on Instagram about cookbooks. I love to read them, but sadly, I am horrible about actually making something. I’ll read through it, then possibly make one or two things and promptly shelve it until I’m ready to read it again. Kind of like a novel..
However, I am challenging myself to end this cookbook neglect of sorts. I have some really excellent books and they deserve better. This week I’ve started with Katie Lee’s, Endless Summer.
Perfect for July! Lots of good recipes and I didn’t need to buy a bunch of stuff. No weird spices or extra gizmos I’ll never use again. Most so far, have required the grill, so no heating up the house. I have definitely found several new recipes to add to my repertoire 😊😊
Trying to think of weekday meals is hard and I almost never pre-plan, so the what’s for dinner conversation is a daily occurrence. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but when having it at dinner time is not good. Hunger turns to hanger and we all know how that ends.
So, the moral of this story is don’t just read your cookbooks. Actually make something or a few things. Challenge your tastebuds.
