Cruelty Free Beauty: 4 Ways to Exfoliate

I am pretty much always on the lookout for a good scrub. Exfoliation is so important for removing dead skin cells and increasing absorption of all those lotions and potions in your beauty bag. Here are four I’ve come across recently, all available at Ulta:

For your nose: Yes to Tomatoes 2 Step Nose Kit, $3.99-A great way to “scrub” those pores! Mine are similar in size to those on the hull of a strawberry, so I need all the help I can get. This little set really did seem to help. First you use the cleanser to open up those pores, then you rinse and apply the nose strip. After 10 minutes, voila, lots of stuff should be on the back. Yuck! I’ll spare you the photo of that reveal…My only wish would be the strip could have been a bit larger, more pliable.

For your lips: Tarte Sugar Scrub, $16– This is the lip scrub I have been looking for! Just the right amount of grit, while leaving my lips feeling moisturized. Rich in good for you vitamins like A, C, and E with sugar to exfoliate and shea butter to moisturize.

For your hands and body: Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hand & Body Scrub, $11.99-If you have dry winter skin like me, you need this hand and body scrub! Works wonderfully and leaves you feeling moisturized. I’ve used on my hands, which get extremely dry and so pleased with the results! Shea Moisture is probably one of my most favorite brands! Uses sugar to exfoliate, Manuka honey is anti-inflammatory, Mafura oil is high in oleic acid-replenishing moisture and African Rock Fig is high in Vitamin C.

For your face: Yes To Cucumbers 3 in 1 Mask, Scrub, and Cleanser, $3.99– Soothing cucumber, moisturizing avocado oil, and Kaolin clay to remove impurities. Uses biodegradable jojoba spheres to exfoliate. I love double-duty beauty!

Be sure to pencil in some “me time” and try some of these scrubs. Self-care is so important! Use some Ulta points or coupon and treat yourself!

Enjoy 😊

Susan
